If you've never dispersed camped near the Three Sister Mountains in Central Oregon, then you're missing out!
There is so much to see and do in the area, too much for one blog post. So this will have to just be part 1.

It's easy to find a camping spot in the forest here, but the trick is to find a camping spot with a view like this! Sunset over the North and Middle Sister.
The Deschutes National Forest is truly a thing of beauty, with plenty of easily accessible camping spots and view points.
But if you want to really enjoy it's hidden gems, you'll have to go off the beaten path. A.K.A., forest roads.

If you're lucky enough to find an open campsite with a view, snag it while you can. It's free!
The best part about being in the mountains in Central Oregon away from all city lights, is without a doubt the night sky!

To bask in the glory of the infinite shining above is truly a blessing, a glimpse of God's wonder in God's country!

Even if you aren't able to camp near the Three Sisters, there are plenty of "off the beaten path" day hike options. Just start exploring!

Day hikes around the mountains are always fun, and definitely a must. Though, nothing quite compares to camping around them..

Especially waking up to catch sunrise and enjoying your first sip of hot fresh coffee with views like this!

Just being in the presence of the mountains and their greatness, I feel like I'm in my element.
Central Oregon will always hold a special place in my heart!
