This lake is without a doubt one of the best views of the Three Sisters, and with little to no hiking to camp!

Scott Lake is a drive up lake on the McKenzie Pass, with roughly 17 campsites situated around it.

Though, sites 9-14 are a short hike in and have the best views of the mountains.

Most of the 9-14 campsites have easy access to Scott Lake and a fairly decent view!

And even better, each site comes with a picnic table and fire pit!

I went with campsite 13, which was a bit of a hike from the car, less than 1/4 a mile, but absolutely worth it with these tent views.

I also camped late in the year, and during mid-week, which means I had the entire lake to myself in the evening!

Of course, there were a few day users.

I was lucky, being at the end of burn season, and with lots of rain, I was able to have a small fire. Which is great when camping alone in the wild!

Pro tip: If you're not able to have a fire, grab an RGB LED light, and place a gallon of water over it.

It produces just as much light and color as a fire, just without the heat.

I was really hoping to catch milky way out here one last time but the clouds rolled in, and rain followed shortly after.

Being at roughly 5000ft elevation and late in the year, the morning was much colder than I expected.

But absolutely gorgeous!

The complete calm of the lake and the sunrise fog made for some pretty perfect photo conditions.

And with the crisp cold early morning, and out camping, I had to bring the good coffee!

I went with the appropriate seasonal blend of course.

I'm still waiting for Starbucks to sponsor me. Someday, someday.

Every minute waking up here felt picture perfect, I couldn't have asked for anything better.
