Hidden in plain sight at the top of a mountain is this perfect campground with to die for views!

And the best part, it's in the gorgeous Olympic National Park!

While the campground itself has just a handful of sites with good views, the real unobstructed beauty are in the hikes surrounding you!

After a fairly easy (dirt road) drive up to camp, you can start your trip with a simple hike with 360 degree views

by driving up a little further to the Blue Mountain trailhead!

(Disclaimer: Most of the drive up to the campground is a narrow one lane dirt road with lots of blind curves and steep open drop offs.)

Blue Mountain right above Deer Park Campground was the perfect place to catch sunset.

And sunrise for that matter!

And what's better than camp coffee with an epic mountain sunrise view!?

Grab a friend, grab a snack, and grab a seat at the top of the world. Take in the end of day views that some dream about.

This campground and hike truly is a gem.

After the last bit of light, head back to camp for some smores under the incredible moonlit stars!

With a long weekend of exploring around the campground in the mountains, one last relaxing sunrise was in order, taking in all the beauty.

PROS:

Easily accessible for being on top of a mountain.

Plenty of hikes surrounding the campground.

The views are literally endless, mind-blowing!

CONS:

First come first serve for all campsites with limited sites.

With an elevation of 5400 feet, the weather can get wild! Be ready.

Even in mid fall during the week, the place was busy! But you can see why.
